WHEN'S THE LAST TIME YOU COULD ACTUALLY DESCRIBE A HAUL - NOT THE ROUTE, BUT WHAT IT FELT LIKE?

"Is there a town you rolled through that you've always wanted to go back to — but never wrote down where it was?"

"How many states have you driven through — and what do you actually remember about any of them?"

"If your kids asked you to describe your life on the road, what story would you tell first?"

"What's the best diner you've ever stopped at? Do you remember where it was — or how to find it again?"

"When was the last sunrise through the windshield that you still think about?"

"In ten years, what will you wish you had written down from the road?"

FROM INSIDE THE JOURNAL

To my family —

This isn't just a map. Maps show you where things are. This is about where I've been — not just the miles, but the moments that made them matter.

Every route in here has a story. Every truck stop, every sunrise through the windshield, every face I met at a diner counter at 3 AM when the world felt both enormous and small.

Maybe someday we'll drive some of these routes together. You in the passenger seat, me pointing out the window — "Right there. That's where..."

Until then, these pages are my way of bringing you along.

— The Driver

"Every mile you drive is a story SOMEBODY WILL WANT TO HEAR. Don't let it disappear with the mile markers."

THE ROAD KEEPS MOVING. SO SHOULD YOU.

Thousands of miles behind you. Don't let another season pass without something to show for it.
